2018 - FIRST  Power Up

Teams must place cubes on power switches and levers to gain ownership. They are scored by how many seconds of ownership they have. In the last 30 seconds of the match teams may hang to gain additional points. 

2017 - FIRST Steamworks

Teams collect gears that they deliver to pilots onboard the airship. They also collect fuel that they shoot into the generator. During the final 30 seconds team go full steam ahead to hang off a rope for additional points.

2016 - FIRST Stronghold

Teams travel through a multitude of obstacles, such as terrain and a drawbridge. Teams shoot boulders into the other team's tower to gain additional. 

2015 - FIRST Recycle Rush

Teams stack as many recycling totes as they can, once they deem their stack full they top it with a recycling can. Human players through refuse (pool noodles) at the opposing alliance to gain points.

FIRST, For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, is an organization that promotes STEAM education through competition robotics. FIRST was founded by famed inventor Dean Kamen in 1989. Today there are thousands of FIRST teams worldwide. FRC Teams are given six weeks to design, build and program a competition robot capable of performing the game's tasks. Teams also market themselves for awards and fundraising.
